Sretenskaya Avenue took its name from Sretenskie gates. It is one of the shortest avenues on Circular Boulevard. The avenue was reconstructed in 1952, nowadays it is full of maples, ornamental plants and flower-beds.
Get over the square and you’ll find yourself at the Chistoprudnaya Avenue. There is A.S. Griboedov’s monument at the beginning of it. Granitic fence, lamps and stone benches open the view to the green avenue zone... It is one of the biggest avenue areas on Circular Boulevard, 822 meters. Besides the main alley there are also small, quite and cozy paths. Lots of trees and bushes surround the pond, which is in the centre of this beautiful and compact park. Sometimes you can see swans in the pond; it is interesting to watch them.
